Angela Kim, a valued member of the Channel 3 news team since August 2020, brings her passion for reporting to both weekdays and Eyewitness News Weekend.
Angela’s journey spans continents, as she was born in South Korea before embarking on an adventure that took her to various parts of the United States. She touched down in New York at a mere three months old, and from there, her family’s travels led her to experience life in Florida, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, until she found her new home in the Scenic City.
Her educational foundation in journalism and sociology was laid at Ithaca College, where she earned her B.A. in Journalism. Following her studies, she embarked on her career as a morning anchor and reporter in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, at WJFW Newswatch 12. During her time there, Angela covered significant events, including the Pine Grove Cemetery shooting in Wausau and the Molson Coors shooting in Milwaukee, showcasing her commitment to reporting impactful stories.
Angela’s arrival in Tennessee has filled her with excitement as she explores all that the state has to offer. When she’s not on the job, you can find her experimenting with new recipes, hiking the scenic landscapes, and immersing herself in the local entertainment scene.
