In the year 1984, Bill transitioned to tv work with WRAL-TV, where he has stayed for more than thirty years. At that time, he served the television station in several roles, such as News Director, weekend anchor, environmental reporter, and co-anchor of the morning and noon newscasts. On the 29th of June in 2018, the journalist retired from WRAL-TV.
