Jamie Alcroft Biography
Jamie Alcroft is an English actor who is best known for his role as Paul “Ash” Davenport in the soap opera Hollyoaks. He has also starred in the films The Football Factory (2004) and Rise of the Footsoldier (2007). Alcroft was born in Liverpool, England in 1979. He began acting in school plays and joined the National Youth Theatre at the age of 16. After graduating from drama school, Alcroft landed his first professional acting role in the television series Brookside in 2000.
Alcroft made his television debut in 2000 in an episode of the BBC drama series The Bill. He then went on to appear in a number of other television series, including Holby City, Doctors, and Casualty.
In 2002, Alcroft was cast in the role of Keith Barker in EastEnders. He played the role for five years, until 2007. He was nominated for the British Soap Award for Best Newcomer in 2003.
After leaving EastEnders, Alcroft appeared in the ITV drama series Benidorm. He played the role of Liam Conroy from 2007 to 2013. He was nominated for the British Soap Award for Best On-Screen Partnership with Siobhan Finneran in 2011.
In 2013, Alcroft joined the cast of the BBC sitcom Miranda. He played the role of Gary for three years, until the series ended in 2015.
