DeLuca grew up as an athlete. His passion in acting came way later when he was in highschool. While there, he had decided to try out for the production of The Wizard of Oz. Q: When did you first start acting?
John DeLuca: I did my first play as a senior in high school. It was The Wizard Of Oz and I played the Scarecrow.
Q: Who do you play in the Teen Beach movies?
John DeLuca: I play Butchy, who is the leader of the bikers called the Rodents, who also happens to be Lela’s older brother.
Q: What can you tell us about your role in Staten Island Summer? Where can people find it?
John DeLuca: My character’s name is Anthony. He is an Italian lifeguard from Staten Island who has aspirations to be in the Navy, but is kind of struggling with everything else besides doing push-ups. You can find it on Netflix starting July 30th and on Amazon and iTunes now!
Q: Do you have any hidden talents?
John DeLuca: I can juggle and do a pretty decent mouth trumpet.
Q: Do you have a secret, or not so secret, crush on anyone?
John DeLuca: Maybe. But if I did and I told you, then it wouldn’t be a secret anymore!
Q: What is one thing you can’t live without and why?
John DeLuca: My GPS because I have a terrible sense of direction and I would be very late to just about everything without it.
Q: What is your favorite part about the summer season?
John DeLuca: My favorite part of the summer season would have to be the weather, but I live in LA so I’m gonna say my favorite thing about summer is barbecuing with friends.

John DeLuca: I just did an Indie gymnastics movie called Chalk It Up that I’m looking forward to sharing with everyone.

John DeLuca: I’m going back to the East Coast to spend some time with my family and hopefully book more fun projects.
