In addition, he has helmed Top Rank Boxing on ESPN and played pivotal roles in the former programs “NBA Coast-to-Coast” and “NBA Tonight.”
Connors’ influence extends to the radio waves as well, where he takes on hosting roles for a range of programs on ESPN Radio, further expanding his reach and connecting with sports enthusiasts across the airwaves.
Prior to joining the ESPN family, Connors made his mark at WCBS-TV in New York, where he served as a weekend sports anchor, and at WCBS NewsRadio 880, where he provided afternoon drive sports updates. His broadcasting journey had its roots at WRNN-TV, an independent television station serving the New York metropolitan area. Here, he held the position of sports anchor for nearly a decade, including an eight-year tenure as sports director.
Kevin Connors’ exceptional talent has been recognized with five New York State Broadcaster’s Association Awards for Outstanding Sportscast. Hailing from Rockville Centre, N.Y., on Long Island, he pursued his passion for broadcasting with a Bachelor of Arts degree in television radio from Ithaca College. Notably, he also made his mark as a four-year member of the Ithaca men’s basketball team, demonstrating his commitment to sports both on and off the screen.
