Like Cline, Rimes first gained national exposure on a television talent show, appearing as a champion for two weeks on Star Search when she was eight. The title song was written by record promoter Bill Mack in the 1950s, and, when Rimes’s recording was released, it was reported that he had intended the song for Cline. It reached #3 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart.
The album earned Rimes another Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and an American Music Award nomination for Favorite Female Country Artist. Her latest single The Story came in 2016; it was from her studio album Remnants which was first released by her new label RCA UK. A track from the album Love Is Love Is Love, is used in the film Logan Lucky.
