Tracy Griffith (full name: Tracy Lee Griffith) is an American actress who is also a professional sushi chef. She is credited for her roles in films like; The Guiding Light, The Good Mother in 1988, Fast Food in 1989, The First Power in 1990, The Finest Hour in 1991, All Tied Up in 1993, 21 Jump Street, Lifetime’s Their Second Chance, and the miniseries Ruby Ridge: An American Tragedy.

The Guiding Light actress is the daughter of Peter Griffith, an actor/producer and his wife Nanita Greene, an  actress/model. Tracy’s parents however got separated in 1976. Griffith has two siblings: a brother who is younger than her known as Clay Griffith and her elder half-sister Melanie Griffith, her father’s daughter with his first wife. Clay Griffith is a production designer and set decorator.

Tracy was the first female graduate of the California Sushi Academy and one of the world’s first certified female sushi chefs. She worked as the featured sushi chef at Tsunami’s in Beverly Hills and was also was a partner and chef at Rika’s on Sunset, a sushi restaurant on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.

Tracy developed a style of sushi without raw fish which led to a publishing deal for her cookbook Sushi American Style, which was published by Clarkson Potter in August 2004.

She also starred as the chef/host on the recurring Cooking with D.I.Y. series and Celebrity Hobbies on the D.I.Y. Network.
